HOW TO WATCH GOLF. A FEW HINTS FOR SPECTATORS. [Newspaper Article] — Saturday Referee and the Arrow — 26 October 1912

HOW TO WATCH GOLF. A FEW HINTS FOR SPECTATORS. I fear that there are few golfers who attend big tournaments as spectator* und who come away at tbe end of the day with a feeling of complete satisfaction. That Ib because all big tournaments offer ua such a wealth of good things to see that we arc overcome by the diffi culty of making up cur minds what to select. It is true that when the final la reached the strain on our capacity for selection is relieved, but then' the final occupies only one day out of several. It accordingly happens, during the early stages of such tournaments, that those of us who In our greediness are anxiouB not to miss anything keep flying wildly over the course from one match to another, making breathless Inquiries, to which the answers are Invariably disappointing. It Is usually my melancholy fa'.e to select tbe wrong match to follow. By the wrong match I mean that one In the course of which nobody does anything de lightfully bad. RULES FOR SPECTATORS.
