AS TO PUBLIC SENTIM[NTI The agitation concerning the clos ing of saloons from 12 m. to 6 a. m. was started through Bishop during his circuit, senior class lec turing course on prohibition and his imaginary crusade on saloons by organizing a society for the refor mation of saloon men. The teach ings of this learned Apostle were, to start in a small way and increase de mands until this monstrous traffic in liquor was abolished and the evil eradicated. The Glendive Review sounds his horn, seconds the sentiment and volunteers to mouthpiece the Bish op s songs. This spirit of sympatby and pity for fellow men, with it,- intoxicat ing influences upon the ambitious reformers, imbedded its roots in the pulpit orator of the -- - church and the oracle of the Review, who with flying co.ors and guns half cocked enrolled a mixed army of el igible and uneligible soldiers of the cause, numbering 98, marched into the city hall, pitched tents, opened camp and installed officers, appoint ing Mr. Mitch...
