Miscellaneous. A lady officer, if she wished to give the word "halt" to her troops, would do it somewhat in this wise:. "You soldiers, all of you, now mind I order you, as soon as I have finish ed speaking, to stand still, every one of you, on the spot where you may happen to be; don't you hear me Halt, I say, all of you !" Dr. Doddridge once asked his lit tle daughter, nearly 6 years old, what made everybody love her? She re plied, "I don't know, indeed, papa, unless it isbecause I love everybody." A first-class privateer, of 170 tons and drawing but six feet water when loaded for a cruise of four months, is being fitted out at Charleston. A. W. Hall, of Atlanta Ga., has been arrested at Nashville, upon a" dispatch from Atlanta suggesting his arrest. He has been a resident of Atlanta for eight years.
