The ghosts were seen walking up the beach at 1:30 a. m. the other morning. "Last evening some peculiar and startling sights were seen in the neighborhood of Nineteenth street. There must have been a mouse in one of the tents around that locality, for at 1:30 a. m. one would imagine spirits walking abroad in spotless white, and a little imagination could supply the rattling of chains." La Toska, the equilibrist, who is this week playing at the Pavilion Theatre, ranks with Harriman and Fields as a sensational performer. He is a native of Toronto, Canada, and for eight years has followed the profession of a "tramp juggler," playing all the principal theatres of the country.
