A CATALEPTIC SUBJECT. The superintendent of police at Albnry has received information from down the river, giving par. ticulars of the arrest of a man in peculiar circumstances. The nan arrived four days ago at Wooished, in the Tocumwal district, where he proceeded to make a bed. Having done so, he stood in one position for 16 hours. The men camped in the same locality, after many futile efforts, maile him lie down, but, so far, no one baa been able to make him articulate. He lies with his .eyes half open, and appears to be healthy, The local doctor states that the man Is not sufferiug from Any itinera, and his behavior is con stantly iaosfc incomprehensible, lifei man is \ perfect stranger, and i his case is exciting considerable interest.

The publication of a cablegram con cerning the latv-st discovery of Mr. Nikola Tesla, tbo well-known elec trical inventor, has aroused much discussion and contention. In person and by letter wc have re ceived counter claims as to the originality of the American expert's invention for the rejuvenation of diseased or ailing mankind.
