SORE SHOULDERS ON HORSES. [Newspaper Article] — Ouyen Mail and Central Mallee Advertiser — 13 March 1914

SOSRX SHOULDIRS ON HORSES. A. correspondent of the "Breeders' Gazette" gives the following method for preventing sore shoulders on horses:--"We have tried it for about ten years, and foind it valuable when used all the time. Line the sweat pad or collar that comes next to the horses' shoulders with pure white cloth, which can be bought for 10d per yard. The oilcloth must be pure white without a colored mark iz it. Put the smooth part of it next the shoulder, lining the pad of collar all through, and sewing it in around the edges. VTWith collars lined this way, we Shave never had a horse with sore shoulders. Once or twice I neg lected to do it, and at once the Sshoulders became sore. The collars can be washed off and kept clean The method is a. success, and is very 6--F-, - o - ;,7rV- not or T76iw 'teaui^~ns?" w·oT^ 6i 7or··;-''~ one has sore shoulders. I would suggest to the St. Pa rick's Da-y sports concert corn- i l~ittee that they should endeavor to o'tain the kind services of the abohte company for their forth coming concert and show the! mallee ba(t)chelor-- nu spellin " with a "t"--how ' Peter was lasseoed." In the event of their being succe-ssfu, T predict their patrons will go home pleased.
