FOOTBALL, WALLAROO V. MOONTA (ORANGE AND BLACK). These dabs met at Mooufca for the last time this season, and contrary to general expectations the IMoonta's won by 1 goal 3 behinds to 9 behinds. Woon won the toss and decided to take advantage of a slight breeze. The Wallaroo's rushed the ball up at once, and Harris was called on to defend, which he did well. The Orange and Black's then settled to work and by working well together had a shot -for goal, which R. Walsh stopped. From the kick off Hopkins got possession and got it well forward, bat it was soon re turned. Edwards got it on the top wing, and by a dashing piece of play and magni ficent run carried the ball right up for ward, but the Blue's forward men being out of their places, the Orange and Blacks got possession and carried the bait back, D.. On Wednesday morning a deputation, con sisting of delegates from Tarious northern towns affected by the Beetnloo water'scheme, was introduced to the Commissioner of Public Works by Mr J. JET.
