A Sydney Fire. .On .Thursday, 29th J uiuary, a fire tiroke out at the pr< mises in Queen street, Woollahra, Sydney, occupied by R. G. Eakin Limited, drapers. The fire brigade attended but was unable to cope with the blaze, which completely gutted-the building. The .damage estimated at ^7000. Both buildings and stock were insured. Slight damage was done to the rear of Webb's grcc-iy store adjoining. In connection with the lire which destroyed a drapers shop known as Eakin's at Woollahra, Robert George Eakin was charged at the P.idding tnn Police Court 1 Monday of last week with having maliciously set fire, to the pbce. A remand was granted £■ >r a week, on the application of the the police. In connection *uth the matter of bail it was stated that the insurance money involved was between ^.5000 and £<jooo.
