^/ Ibout Ca ttle and Corn . [Newspaper Article] — Chicago Livestock World — 7 January 1902

^/ Ibout Ca ttle and Corn . rWjIIILE it is not the province of a live l | Jj stock market report to enter into the realms of prophecy , the Live Stock World last week took occasion to say in its leading paragraphs on the cattle market that the conditions then prevalent were conducive to a run of cattle for Monday < yestea | lay ) that -would promptly wipe out all advances in prices for that week . It is the usual thing at this season of the year that the market gets large supplies of halffat , wtfrmed-up cattle on every little bulge in prices . Right now the country conditions are unusually favorable to rushing in this very class of short-fed cattle whenever there is an upturn in prices . Corn is higher than it has been for several years , cattle prices are relatively high , owners of corn are generally bullish , and in many places the cattle feeder finds grain feed held at prohibitive prices while thousands of farmer-feeders cannot figure it out in any other way than tha...

Markets Abroad . [Newspaper Article] — Chicago Livestock World — 7 January 1902

Markets Abroad . SSTGLISH markets for American cattle and sheep are not very good just at present . Exporters who have cattle space are trying to fill it with sheep , hoping to reduce their losses a little . Itj-looks as if exporters would get the worsfspf it during the first month of the year . | p AMde from the fact that grain and oil seed feeds are high , the root crops were poor in England and Scotland . Turnips turned out badly , and both cattle and sheep are being forced upon the markets over there in unripe condition . Gentlemen , the signs of the times point very strongly to handsome profits for those who have the nerve and the corn to feed to a finish .

Tajrs to Keep at It . [Newspaper Article] — Chicago Livestock World — 7 January 1902

Tajrs to Keep at It . BauubE cattle feeders around Wyoming , U Iowa , who persist in feeding cattle whether prices are high , low or medium , whether corn costs 65 cents or is cheaper to burn than coal , generally make money . They study their business . They know now to make cattle fat in a comparatively short time . They certainly do better than those who try to buy feeders only when they are cheap , feed corn only when it is plenty , and market their beeves only when prices are booming . Their business is to make fat cattle as good and as quickly as possible and sell them when they are ready for market . And they make it win .
