THE BED NT.4IN ROAD. ; A petition signed by the citi zens of Leaven worth and the sur rounding country will be pre sented to the commissioners cQurt of Chelan county at its next meeting asking them to ap propriate at least as much as two thousand ' dollars towards the building of a road from this point to the summit of the Cascade range near what is known as Red Mountain. The legislature made an appropria tion of four thousand dollars for the building of this road from Leavenworth to the summit, con ditional on the county appropriat ing a like amount.
