El- linghausen, his wife and sister-in- law and a Mexican cotton picker, became suddenly "very sick; Dr. Nave was sent for aod discovered symptoms of arsenic poisdning. The water from which the coffee had been made was found to con- tain poison and a vial containing arsenic wa3 drawn out of the well.
