HOUSING DAIRY, COWS IN COLD W1\,.'VPIlER, [BY Ilheon OnAIrAM, Roecervse, hunleo'.] 1 HIAvE tried the exporiment of housing some of my cows during the cold winter months, and the results have boon most gratifying. My cow house is 05 foot long by 12 feet wide, and walls 10 feet high, of hard wood, roofed with iron, , feot of the wall is cut eof for a hay loft and for storing various toodstulfs, so that the dimensions within whioh the cows are housed are 65ft, x l2ft. x Oft, The stalls number 12, and two fact are taken oil each stall to form a timano gor, so that each stall is (not illuloding the mangor space) 10 feet long, 5 feet wide and 0 feet high, The floor iu flogged with stone with enough fall to insure good drainage. The house fronts the north and the cows enter theirstalls from thin front, This should be strictly attended to in building a cow house, the niortherly being ien warmest aspect. Attached to the back is a room ex tending the whole length of the 605 fooeet and 8 fetl....
