Bulla Shire. [Newspaper Article] — Sunbury News — 25 June 1892

Bulla Shire. At the Bulat Shire Council Meeting on the 16th instant, there was a concensus of disapproval of the habit some people   indulge in, of turning their horses and   cattle out on the streets and roads of the town to graze. This practice cannot be too highly condenmed, as it causes much   destruction of ratepayers property, such     as footwalks and ornamented trees, planted for the beautification of the streets and walls of our town. In addition, the   damage to private property is as great,         and the source of gross annoyance to owners and occupiers. We trust that the         vigorous action which our council has     ordered to be taken will lead to a speedy amendment.

Local Intelligence. [Newspaper Article] — Sunbury News — 25 June 1892

Local Intelligence.   We are sorry to learn that A. N. Halifax, Esq., J.P., is shortly to take   his departure from Sunbury. Mr     Halifax has been a resident of the dis- trict for a goodly number of years, and his large concourse of friends will regret   his leave-taking. During his time here he has made himself very popular, taking an active intrest in all public matters and requirements. He at one time oc- cupied the position of secretary to the Mechanics, Institute, and we have no hesitation in stating that in what ever town he takes up his future he will prove a great acquisition to       it.

No Title [Newspaper Article] — Sunbury News — 25 June 1892

Thank vou very much Mr. Editor, for your young folk's column, or I ought to thank you first for starting such a novelty as a newspaper in our little, but fast rising township. I hope all the young people of Sunbury will patronize the Y. F. Column and make it a success. They need not be the least bit afraid of mistakes, for I am   sure that Mr. Editor will correct any little error that may occor in their items. I think I have said enough about this splen- did idea and must leave room for the letters and opinions of other people, but I hope they will all put their little spoke in the wheel (and every little helps). It will not be hard to keep it spinning. A.Z.
