Radio Club Hams Plan Improvements The Amateur Radio Club of Behrend Campus field its first meeting on Tuesday September 28 during Common Hour. There is a possibility of losing its meeting place in the Studio and they may have to find another place to carry on communications. When the place is determined, they will be putting up antennas to make it possible to reach foreign countries. They hope to have two stations operating simultaneously. The club is basically for people interested in this hobby and in experimenting with bam radio. If enough are interested, the club may enter contests in which clubs compete to see who can talk with the most countries in a given period of time, such as a weekend. On this campus there are four classes; novice, general, advanced, and extra class. Of these four there are three in the advanced class including the acting president Rick Saeger, (4th, Eng. "Involve Youth New Theme Of Circle K Organization "Involve Youth" is the theme of the Circle K. this year. A halfway house for juvenile delinquents, drug education and community betterment are a few of the proposed plans. The Circle K is an international service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis, and the most active organization on the Behrend Campus, in which members are not elected. In the past, the Circle K was quite effective in assisting disadvantaged youth from St. Joseph's Home for Children. Basketball games, snowball battles, pool parties, and dinners for the orphans were sponsored. Other projects included a booksale that eliminated the disorder of posting signs. This was an enormous success for all of the students on campus. An attempt was also made to acquire mimeograph and office equipment for every Behrend club. The potential of this organization this year is overwhelming. They will fight for whatever they believe will benefit everyone on campus or in the com...
