Jacques Loeb followed his paper on Monday with another in the same line of thought . He said his experiments in prolonging the existence of the lower forms of life led to the belief that the life of higher organisms is electro dynamic in its nature . He declared that probnbly foodstuffs and medicines were not vnlnnblc for tbelr individual properties , but for the quantity of positive or negative atoms of electricity they contained . In a word Dr . Loeb looks upon fcod and medicine as valuable for the sustenance of what he calls the human dynamo .
