THE ARIZONA CITIZEN. THAT " ADDRESS." SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1S70. FltAUDa. The most impudent of all the bra zen assertions of the justly vanquished Brady party are those about frauds. Such rascals' talking virtuously of fraud is richness! If frauds have prevailed anywhsre, they are most glaring and easily proven where Bra dy has majorities. Lot us examine f -cts Yuma county has a population of about 1900 and cast 70S votes ; Yava pai has a population of 2134 and cast as per latest advices, but few votes ei ther way from 1050. This gives one vote to 2 population in Yuma, and f.no fn 9. Twsons in Yavanai. Yuma "ave McCormick a majority and Yav apai, Brady. According to popula tion, frauds are more apparent in the only Brady stronghold. ' Again, well informed men of both parties wrote us before and since elect ion that at Phenix every voter there was known and did not aggregate 90, and that McCormick should have 35 to 40 and Brady 40 to 50 ; the former Kot 35, the latter 143 ! The Weekly Arizona Citizen SATURDAY. DEC. 3, 1370 Operations about McDowell. Wo take the following interesting items from a letter received from a friend at Camp McDowell, of date Nov. 20th, 1870: Capt. Moulton, with a detachment of company C, 1st Cav., made a scout a few days since toward the Pinal moun tains, and succeeded in making an everlasting treaty with four big bucks of the Apache tribe. The Captain had two men seriously wounded in the en gagement, but under the skillful treat ment of the field surgeon, Dr. Evans, who was with the scout, they soon re covered. On the 10th inst., while the Pima Indians, who had been on a scout, wero returning homo through the canyon some six miles below this post, they were attacked by the Apaches. One Pima was killed and one wound ed ; they also had one horse killed. Ono of the Pimas returned to this post to inform the commanding officer, Col. Sanford, of what had occurred. THE CITIZEN. Tncsonsr, Arizona. alixrday, x t : Dec. 10, 70. CONGRESS. This honorable body convened at "Washington last Monday. The first matter, and of greatest interest, that will come before it, will be President Grant's message, which we expect to see here before the next issue of The CrriZElT. The members elect cannot take their seats till the 4th of March, uo there will not be any new faces there to speak. The tariff and tax questions will doubtless be the all absorbing themes, and the country (n expect some substantial work and less gab than heretofore, because the late elections show that the discussions in and outside the dominant party means business as a still farther reduc tion in the majority of that party in the legsiative halls. It is simply folly to premise anything as to the position the president will occupy in his mes sage on the Alabama question, but he went in after the war with the motto of "let us have peace," which was timely enough. Tho subject that interest...

BS3 THE CITIZEN, TUCSON, ARIZONA. Saturday, Dec. 17, "TO. The 4 Associated Press' Imposed Upon. By telegram from Los Angeles (Dec, '2 7th), it was announced to the 'Associ ated Press,' that " over eight hundred fraudulent votes for McOormick had been discovered," and that " Governor Safford, the Secretary, Surveyor Gen eral and other officials are implicated in the frauds." We know that many false statements and sensational reports without foun dfttion, are sent over the wires some times by design and sometimes by acci dent, but how a story so entirely des titute of truth should have been palm d off on the telegraph operator and thfc Associated Press,' we were at first at a loss ixvknow. The Arizona Citizen TTJCSOIV, PDIA COUNTY. Sat xi relay, December 17, '70 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE. "We predicted last -week the receipt of the message in time for notice to day, but had The San Diego Union not gone to the expense of having the entire document specially telegraphed it from San Francisco, the citizens of Tucson would not have read it this -week. The S. D. Bulletin reprinted it from The Union, and altogether it was pretty extensively circulated here Thursday morning. The Union, for a 'country weekly,' on that score, can go 'up head.' The message was deliver ed Tuesday, the 5th, and in quantity of matter it would half fill this sheet, or nearly, in this type. In quality, we think it less subject to criticism on the part of people or politicians, than any of Grant's pen-productions sinco his grand summing up of the war. No question expected, is avoided, and all are treated in an unequivocal style ; it is evidently all his own. He reads John Bull a lesson on the hackneyed 'Al...
