At the regular monthly meeting of the West Side council, held Jan. 3, 1804. only a small amount of business onjratfed the attention of council. Pres ldent Dowoy appointed a board of health for the borough, consisting of Dr. J. S. Hlleman, Dr. B. Be van. Joseph Longford, L. K. DraUt and John Scrirngeour one for each district in tho borough. Council npproved the uppnin'monts and the 'board will pro ceed at once to organize and look after the sauitnry condition of the towu. A committee from the West Pittston Hose company waited on the council, and stated that the company contem plated purchasing a team of horses for the dm of tb company...
