J THE MONTGOMERY TRIBUNE: VOL IX. How The People Voted In Montgom- cry county In 1896 and 1898 Tho election Tuesdoy passed off quietly at Montgomery City. Both parties had their workers on the grounds early and nearly every voter went to tho polls. It appears that tho democrats havo elected their whole .county ticket but their majorities havo been greatly cut down. For tho convenience of our raiders wo havo arranged a summary of tho vote for 1800-1808 and 1800. On Bryan in 1806 tho democrats had a.plurallty of 352; In 1803 on Judgo Marshall, 201. Bryan's majority In 1806 was 201, and Marshall's 180. In 1000, based on estimates received, Dry an's plurality Is 81. Dockcry'a plurality In 1P00 based on estimates received Is about 100. For Itoprc cntatlvo In 1800 Davoult's plural I ty was 140. In 1808 Seo's plurality was 273 and majority 172. In 1000 Mnbry leads Stewart by a plurali ty of 152.
