The Chicago Tribune gives the follow ing particulars regarding the proposed extension of the Atchison Topcka and Santa Fe Kailroad which is expocted ultimutely to connect with tho Southern Pacific at or near Fort Yuma Califor nia: The present terminus of tho At chison Topeka and Santa To Kailroad is at Pueblo The new extension will commence at La Junta a point 62 miles east of 1'ucblo from whence it will run to Trinidad 80 miles south west of La J unta ; thence through Raton Pass to Clifton or Red River which is SI miles from Trinidad and 15 miles south of the New Mexico and Colorado boundary line into Now Mexico or 111 miles from La Junta. At Fomeroy Storm Lake Klppey Wall Lake and other places along tbe line of tbe Illinois Central ftullroau many buildings were blown down and tbe Inmates killed or Injured. The force of the storm was terrific destroying fences uprooting trees overturning corn cribs eto. Horses and cattle were picked up and carried a considerable distance. The track of tbe storm was half a mile to a liillo and a half wide. Three negro murderers Jackson Ed wards Alexander Brown and Wesley Tur nor were hanged in the town of Franklin Parish of St. Mury Louisiana on the 22d in the presence of 6000 people mostly col ored.
