Mr. W S. Mestmer one of Judge Purdue's assistants in the abstract Ing of Hartley county lands has rent ed the Campbell residence and has moved his family to Channing. Pastor Hunt and Prof. Gable have been the leading spirits in securing for Channing for the fall and winter months a series of high-class attrac- tions. S. M. Dowlen who traveled over- land from Dalhart last Wednesday says heavy rains have fallen between this place and Dalhart recently. J. E. Scott has sold his Channing property to J. J.
