Reardon said the pro posed increases might .affect Frankston considerably in both fares and freights. He said that 35,000 tickets were issued month ly from Frankston and Seaford! Cr. Reardon's motion, that the State Member be approached to endeavor to have any increases outside the metropolitan area af fected on a reduced scale of in creases, was carried.

'SKYLARKING" FINED FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING Robert James Page, of 1 Chel sea Road, Chelsea, was fined £5 when convicted of dangerous driving at Frankston Court last week. First-Const. Cattanach said he saw Page driving a car in Ne pean Highway, where he continu ed to drive from the left-hand side of the road to the centre lane, and back again. When inter cepted, Page admitted to witness that he was more or less sky larking. Mr. Meehan, S.M., told Page he must acquire a sense of respon sibility on the road. Such con duct as his could cause a serious accident, said the S.M.

CAR FOR SISTER ANDERSON FRANKSTON COUNCIL TO PROVIDE Moving that the authorities be written to, and application be made for a car for Sister Ander son (Baby Welfare Centre), Cr. Alden said all councillors would agree that, if anybody needed a car, it was Sister Anderson. Cr. Fowler seconded the motion, praised the good work Sister Anderson was doing, and moved that a letter of apprecia tion be sent to Mrs. Lindley, who had voluntarily driven Sister Anderson round in her ov3n car, for some time. past, and was still doing so. Both motions were carried.
