KIAMA C.W A. YOUNGER SET The usual monthly meeting of the Kiama C.W.A. Younger Set was held in the Rest Rooms on Monday, 14tlh April. Fourteen members were prnie sent, Miss L. Martin (President) oqcupying the chair. Mrs. Tbngue (Advisory Conimittee),. also attended. A number of apologies were re celved. ,, Miss A. BAND NOTES The Band Contest to take place on Sunday next, 4th May, at the Show ground is creating interest, through out the district, all the competing Bands having settled down to prac-1 tice for the event. The following bands will contest in various items--Bega, Nowra, M1il ton, Berry and Kiama, and as an added attraction for the afternoon performance, the Wollongong Pipe Band will also be in attendance as a guest band. Lovers of band music will certainly be well catered for on the day. All iusic for the competitions is "Own Choice" whereby the public will have a v.riety to listen to. For the various itellis, '-handsome trophies and prizes will be awarded to the successful bands.. No doubt a big crowd will wel com. the competitors on 4th, May at the Showground to hear the , first Band Contest ever held in Kiama.
