ALEXANDRA POLICE COURT. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24. (Before J. P. Bainbridge and John Whitelaw, Esq.'s, J.P.'s.) Henry Egan was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Discharged with a caution. Police v R. F. Nolan.—This was a case of selling liquor on a Sunday, which had been postponed from the last court. Defendant said he was not at home when the liquor was sold. Mrs Nolan was called, and ad- mitted having supplied the liquor to an aboriginal named Tommy Smith on that day. The bench inflicted a fine of 20s. Richard Davey was charged by the police with committing an assault on a man named James O'Sullivan, on the 14th inst. The defendant ad- mitted striking O'Sullivan in self- defence. Constable Dunn gave evi- dence to prove that Davey had been   the assailant. Fined 5s. Joseph Payne, Joseph Hewitt, George Hewitt, William Collins, and George Menzies were brought up for assaulting each other in a public place. It ap- peared that they had been the worse for liquor on Saturday afternoon ...
