A PENN STATE VICTORY St. Bonaventure Eleven Defeated by a 46-0 Score. Art Entire New Team Scores 17 Points in Second Half. In a rather onesided game last Saturday Captarn Very and his remarkable football machine added another victory by defeating St. Bonaventure 46-0. The speed and spirit that was shown by our men clearly displayed that they had came out of the magnificent victory over Penu the week before in splendid _conditi_,n . From the beginninu of the game the play of the Blue and White was far superior to that of their opponents in every department. The line could not stop our backs and their ends were skirted almost at will for long gains, while, when St. Bonaventure had the ball , their offense was weak , the runner usually being thrown for a loss or no gain. The most spectacular play of the game came in the second period when Barrett threw a beautiful forward pass from our forty yard line to Very who ran the remaining distance to the goal for our fourth touchdown. ...

1914 GETS THE CIDE Sophomores Win the _~ _ianuu al Cider S ~ rap Scoring 43 Points to tile _Fresh men ’ s 24. The freshmen were defeated by the sophomores in their second scrap on last Saturday on the drill gmounds west of the gymnasium. The battle was fought hotly by both classes , but the sophs proved easy victors by having 19 more men than the freshmen svith hands on the bartel at the end of the twenty minutes. The classes were around the bar rd shortly after _‘qne o’clock and both waited for the signal which was to smut the fun. However the freshmen who ivere determined to wipe out the stain of defeat from the pu sh bali scrap were especia lly eager to clash ivi h their opponents and to secure the victory and the resvmtrcl—the cidei.
