Ixth Constitution formed for Kan sas, women are allowed to vote in school matters. They may vote for officers, school taxes, and everything pertaining to the organization of the common schools, equally with men. Two or three days ago a negro girl stole a parasol in Brooklyn, and was soon after arrested. Her excuse before the magistrate was that the sun was spoiling her complexion. E receipts of wheat, at Chicago for the week ending August 1, were 5,031,000 bushels, against 18,956,090 bushels for the coresponding week last year. The shipments were in about the same proportion. —The millers ofMnscatine are of fering 55 and 75 cents a bushel for new wheat on immediate delivery. A few weeks since we published an ac count of the discovery of a Urge number of golden idols, in the Indian graves of Chiri qui, in the Bnnquoron district, on the Isth mus. The editor New York Herald has been favored with a sight of some of these valuable idols which he th,U« describes "There are in all nine of the images, weighing in the. aggregate early a pound and a quarter. They have evidently been ounces. No. 3 is it representation of. a frog, with eyes protruding like lobsters. The eyeball consists of a lump of gold about the size of a pea. It weighs about thr ounce-.
