V A, THE TIMES. W. C. SHimr, Publisher. DODGE CITY, - - KANSAS. The Present State of the Russian War. Recent extracts from Russian papers indicate a growing feeling of dissatis faction with the leaders of the military operations in Bulgaria that appears to be the first mutterings of a political storm, the violence and final results of which it is difficult to foresee. Never in the history of Russia has popular discon tent been permitted to manifest itself so plainly as to threaten the powers that be with such audacity. The sense of hu miliation to which the great Slav power is now exposed before all Europe ran kles in the breast of the nation, and Is so keenly felt that, reckless of conse quences, it dares openly to express it self in terms of bitterness and even of defiance. The contempt with which Turkey has been spoken of throughout Europe now recoils fearfully on the originators of the favorite epithet which was coined to express it a quarter of a century ago. The reaction would...

Bow Craxy Herse Met His Death. The notorious Sioux chieftain, Crazy Horse, died at Camp Kobinson at mid night of the 5th inst. It is a coincidence worthy of note that the unconquered and atrocious chief received his death-wound a terrible bowie-knife cut in the side at the hands of one of his former fol lowers, a soldier Indian, who had stood side by side with the chief in the battle of the Rosebud, in the Custer massacre, and in other engagements of the Sioux war. When Crazy Horse essayed his escape, a few days before his death the Indian soldiers who had been foremost in acts of brutality one year ago hunted him down like blood-hounds.
