I Thursday, September 7, 2006 - THE SACHSE NEWS - Section A - Page 3 Cantrell's plan draws support # continued from page 1A State's office to address the issues relating to verifying citizenship. "When we read the their official response it was clear that there real- ly aren't any good mechanisms to check for citizenship," he said. "If the applicant checks the box on the voter application form that they are a ti'; ~n, it has to be accepted on face value unless a legal document is produced that reflects otherwise. "What shocked me was the fact that there is no verification or enforcement of the citizenship or any other of the requirements," he said. "The burden of proof would be on the person making the challenge and there is no citizen registry." Cantrell said his plan consists of setting up a database that linked and shared information with everyone at the local, stale and federal level. ■ THE SACHSE NEWS Shining on the community, events and people of Sachse Publisher Chad B. Engbrock Managing Editor Donnita Nesbit Fisher Good News Ordinary people lead extraordinary lives w hen a string of progressing caterpillars moves through the trees, one leads and the others follow, Rev, Paulette •their eyes half- Hogan ■losed and their ^lieads snugly fitted against the tail of the preceding caterpillar. A French naturalist named Jean-Henri Fahre conducted many experiments with groups of these caterpillars. In one experiment, he enticed a string of them to the rim of a large flowerpot whore their bodies connected and formed a complete circle. Then they started moving around in procession one which had neither beginning nor end. It was expected that soon they would catch on to the joke, get tired of their useless parade and go off in some other direc- tion. Bui they did not. The living, creeping circle kept moving around the rim of the pot round and round, for seven days and sev...
