Fatal Accident at Greenbushes. [Newspaper Article] — The Bunbury Herald and Blackwood Express — 10 December 1919

Fatal Accident at green- 1 bushes. . Henry 'Nicholls, a young returned soldier, was fatal'y injured on Friday afternoon last about 5 p.m. at the Greenbushes Timber Mills. The deceased, who was a good alround mill, yard or bush hand, had pre viously been working on one of the benches, but at the time of the accid ent was engaged in shunting some [trucks. He was riding on one of ' these when someone noticed that the points were wrongly set and sang out for Nicholls to jump off, as there was a chance of the trucks being derailed. He evidently misjudged his jump and fell near the wheels of one of the trucks, which, passing over his arm, so crushed it that it had to be amput ated. The injured man did not recover from the shock, and died at the Greenbushes Hospital at 5 o'clock on tlie following morning. He was a member of the R.S.A. and was buried with military honours on Monday afternoon. *
