MELBOURNE WOOL & STOCK MARKET. Messes J. C. Waikee and Co. report, under I date Jaiiuaiy 21. — Fat Cattle. — The large num- I ber of 1,118 yarded, of which there was a Large | proportion of middling quality. The cattle j comiug from th© North showing the effects of ! hardship and want of water on the road. This ; supply was again too large for the trade. We I had a dull market. Good cattle made last week's I rates, while miudling and inferior were a shade lower. Quotations appear higher in consequence of some of the stock being superior to those yarded last market day. Fat Sheep.— 18,412 penned for the week's supply. The proportion of prime was less than usual. The market here was also dull. Prices were about Gd under last week's quotations. Messrs J. H.
