(?Jammmiat. Grenfell Recohd Office. Friday Evening. Tub weather during the past fortnight has been all that could be wished. Soaking rains, alter nated with warm sunshine, have been the order of the day. The heavy downpour which com menced on Saturday evening, and continued well through the night, furnished a supply of water which will probably last through the summer. The crops, generally speaking, are looking remarkably well, but here and there are spots where,- through want of drainage', and too luxu riant growth, they are laid. .Trefoil, burrs, and thistles, are everywhere strong and abundant, and in some places are obtaining such a strong hold, that unless checked, before seeding time, they will so got tho upper hand, as* to defy extermination. The plentiful supply of feed is manifested by the way in which stock are to be soen reclining upon tho award. Shearing is in full swing ; hands aro somewhat short at some of the Bheds.
