FOND OF RUGS In the business book of the Cole raine Police Court last Friday, there appeared three charges entered against :t young Iran named George Radley. One was for having been drunk and disorderly, one for stealing a rug, and one for having ill his possession a rug I suspected of having been stolen. Ac- I cused appeared in a somewhat dishevel led condition which bore out his state ment that he had been drunk lie made this admission as ar. excuse for the other offences which he said he could not recollect committing Senior-Constable Loftus outlined the case of the stolen rug, which was substantiated in evidence, t.ie charge of having been drunk and disorderly being withdrawn. James. C. Dolman said that he went to the races on Thursday in a buggy. There was a rug in the vehicle about 4.30. p.m. and at 5 o'clock it was missing. The matter was reported to Constable Gorman.
