DROMANA POLICE COURT Saturday, Sept. 28 Before Messrs R. Anderson (Chairman), J. Barker, jun., and D. Mairs.   Ruddock v. Turner ; debt - Settled.   Riley v. Brown. The defendant was charged with having made a gap in a fence   for the purpose, of permitting and causing cattle to trespass. The plaintiff showed that this was only one of a series of similar annoyances, and that he had been compelled to continuously watch the defendant on account of like aggressions. The defen- dant's plea was that the fence (or, as he called it, heap of rubbish) was on the road, but this not being proved, the Bench, con- sidering the case an aggravated one, im- posed a fine of £10, with £2 costs. Burrell v. Adams ; cutting down and stealing live timber to the value of £2. The plaintiff and defendant are neighbors and the trees were cut on "Burrell's Pre- emptive Right," but outside of the original fence. The Bench considered the case was proved and ordered the def...

Carew ; debt, £10.- This case was adjourned as Mr. Carew was     subpoened on Supreme Court case and could not attend.
