BULLEEN SHIRE COUNCIL.   A special meeting of this council was held on Monday evening, August 14th. Present: Crs. Laidlaw, Williamson, Finger, Smedley, Delaney, Holloway, and Hum-   mel. Some little discussion took place on the subject of the declarations to be made by the councillors previous to taking their seats at the council table. Reference was made to the Act by Cr. SMEDLEY, wh0 pointed out that one councillor could sub- scribe his declaration in presence of any   other councillor, even although the attest- ing councillor had not made his own declar- ation. All the councillors present then made the   usual declaration, and the Secretary then announced that the next business was the election of a President. Cr. WILLIAMSON moved "That Cr.
