MOUNT ALEXANDER DIGGINGS. [From our own Correspondent.] Forest Creek, July 10, 1854.   Thanks to the reads I duly received on the 30th of June last copies of the Portland Guardian posted on the 29th of May, and   Melbourne letters posted on the 10th June. Only think of the speed of the mail coaches in Australia—85 miles in twenty days, and   about 250 miles in thirty days. This last mail, however, proved a little quicker, as by in I received your paper of the 29th ult., only a week after date. Since I wrote you last, I have changed my residence, and am now liv- ing near the township of Castlemaine.
