WANTED—MORE FOOTBRIDGES. [Newspaper Article] — The Mount Barker Courier and Onkaparinga and Gumeracha Advertiser — 6 May 1927

WANTED—MORE FOOTBRIDGES. with the ever increasing motor traffic "the need of more footbridges grows rapidly, and two are badly needed along the Adelaide Road, be tween the Rest Home corner and Wal kora's corner. The road is very nar row at the bridges, and- the condition of the highway fs such that car drivers are practically forced to keep to the side as much as .possible. Two cars passing leaves little or no room for pedestrian traffic. . The councillor for North Ward, Mr. A. B. Fry, has long realized the necessity for the erection of footbridges, but funds have not permitted the work being done. He has hopes, however, of putting down the two footways in the near future.
