TUESDAY, JUNE 26TII BEFORE Mr. J. K. LOTHBRIDGO, J«P, . : ASSAULT. Harriot Haigh v. Martin Pearson, to show ; cause why lie should not keep the peaco to wards her. This case arose out of a quarrel between the plaintiff and defendant, which took place on the 20th June. It appears the "children belonging to the above parties were having a " rough and tumble" in front of plaintiffs premises, when the defendant came up j and threatened to knock spots olF them and the plaintiff also. But the latter hnving plenty of weight took up the challenge, and invited him (according to bis,statement) to toe the mark. :This, however, he declined to do ; and the plaintiff seeing that she1 could not arrange matters in that way, brought it to Mr. Lethbridge to decide. .
