Yankee Tkoughtfulness. An acquaintance of ours was np in Connecticut one day last winter, to visit a friend who was a manufacturer. The shaft of the manufacturer ' s \vatcr*\vheel had been broken-that afternoon under a great accumulation of ice, and" he was in great j trouble.; for he had searched long to find a suitable I stick, and knew not where to find another.
