AMONG THE OF THE INLAND EMPIRE ' Work on Capital at Onoe. .At a meeting of the capltol com mission yesterday afternoon, Superin tendent Qulgley was instructed to take a force of men and proceed with the work of removing the trees and clear ing the grounds for the foundation of ttie new capltol building. As scon as this is done the work f excavation for the foundation and basement floor of the building will be ommenced and go forward with all possible haste. The work of excavation for the cen tral portion of the capltol Is to be done by the state which will reduce the contract cost of the new building, leaving that much of the appropria tion to be used in paying for the struc ture. The plans of the commission are to secure the best building that can be obtained with the appropriation now available.
