ANNUAL RE-UNION

The annual re-union of the Upper Hutt Rugby Football Club took place on Saturday evening last, at the „ Druids Hall, Mr. S. Keegan presiding. ■ Among the guests were the Mayor, Mr. J. Blewman, Councillor A. Rich- ardson, the Town Clerk (Mr. B. M. Wilmshurst), assistant Town Clerk (Mr. R. McKendry), and Mr. J. Paul (life member). •Mr. Keegan welcomed all present: and stated he was pleased to see the Mayor present, as it showed the Club was part of the Borough. The speaker referred to the losses the Club had received; by. many of their members joining the military forces, some 01 whom were how overseas. Mr. Keegan said that he wanted all to i-ealise that although the country was at war it was up to all to keep the Club going so that when hostilities ceased they would be ready to welcome back their players.
