Curra Creek. (From our own correspondent.) The tea and concert, in aid of the building funds . for tbo new Union Church at Curra Crook, camo off on Friduv last. Notwithstanding tho showery appearance of tho wcathor, a large crowd of people, both old and y.ouug, put in an appearanco. Mr.-C. Oosior's machino shed, which is a commodious building, was choson for the occasion. It was very generous of Mr. Cosier to rcmovo his large stock of machinery, and leavo it oxposed to tho inclemency of tho weather, which meant a lot of labor, and per haps damage to his property.' Groat pruiBo is due totboso who put the shed in order for tho occasion. It was most tastefully decorated, and lighted with Japanese lamps, kiudly lent by Wellington frionds. Barbigal wool .has been loaded at this station this year. Haymaking has started iu real earnest, but tbo windy weather has boon vory disagreeable for such work. The concert in aid of the Dubbo hospital, hold hero on Wednesday evening last, wus a great success. Tho committeo (Messrs. Lovett, Starr, Bates, Carroll aud Hill) aro to bo congratulated for the successful issue to which it wus brought. Whcu all tho tickets are in, it is expected over £10 will bo sent to tho hospital.
