BILLIARD TOURNAMENT. The finals of the Royal Saloons Bil liard tournameE' were- played off lust Tufcsdiiy between W. J. Spies (scratch) and A. McKay (50 behind), resulting In a win for Spies, by 58. The game star ted off briskly, McKay playing to the be3t advantage, reducing Spies' lead in the first 100 to 25. After this Spies played up, ami recovering his form, easily retained the lead, ultimately reaching the 2oO mark by 58 to spare. Spies' play was consistent through out, and his higest break was 30. Mc Kay played somewhat patchy, and miss ed many easy shots for score and posi tion. After the match Mr. Spies accepted the offer of Mr. Klrkwood to play 250 up at Royal Saloons next Thursday.
