POL ICE NO TJ0S. ? « ? ? . PERTH, April 9. — James Robinson was ' sent in' for 7 days for having been drunk. Thomas Walker, an old man who lasfe Saturday asked to be re-admitted into tha Mount Eliza Invalid Dep6t, was chargedl with having deserted the service of his em ployer. He had been engaged to look aftec a man's hut in the bush, but coolly walked away, leaving the hut and the stores to take care of themselves. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment with light, labor. Philip Orinney, who was brought up foe having been drunk, pleaded that he had not been brought before the Bench for a year. Sentenced to pay 10s., or 14 days* imprisonment in default. Mary Ooodall, a little white-haired old woman, acknowledged to having been drunk on the Saturday. As she had been previously repeatedly con victed his Worship sent her in for 2L days. Patrick Brisnahan pleaded ' guilty' to a charge of drunkenness, but urged that he had not been locked up before for the laafj five-and-twenty yea...

POLICE NOTES. PERTH, TUESDAY, April 10. (Before Mr. P. A. Gugeri, J.P,) Koque Wy, a Chinese coolie, was charged with having been, drunk on .the previous night. Mr. Burt, said that the prisoner was in his employ, and that on the evening m question he went out. with some other Chinaman, and afterwards returned home ;[' roaring drunk.' He put the Chinaman; into His room, took away the lamp lest he should set the place on .fire, and locked him in ; but the Celestial made such a noise that he was obliged to hand him over to the police.
