From the Front The following is an extract from o letter from our hrave young townsman ' Trooper F. Mickulson, dated Feb. 17, and reoeivi-d hare a fen- days ago by his lirothcr. Trooper Micluilson left here about 18 months aj^o, . and baa giiiie through all the hardships of the war ever since. He is a member of A Squadron of the Imperial Bushmen... He wnb slightly wounded once, and had the fever twice, but. isstill in the fighting line : — Feb. 17.—Early last month' w'e had- ' a good battle with the Bners at Reit fonlein. We lost over 200 men that d»y and as man}' horses. The proceed ings were very lively, tho Boevs having two guns pounding away at us. Thir teen of us were told ;off under Lieut.
