The Ocean Spray had pushed out from St. Louis first, and the Hannibal City push ed out immediately after her. In firing up to keep before the Hannibal City, tur pentine was used on the Ocean Spray, to wet the wood end coal, quantities of which was spilled on the deck. This took fire, and in fifteen minutes the boat was burned to the waters' edge...
