I r T Arizona Sentinel. SATURDAY, - . J)C. 4, 1830, The Colorado desert, was the most meraorrthlH in the railway annals of the Yuma branch of the Southern Pacific. The eastward f nd trrin was caught in the sswitcn, seven miles west T,imh Tank, hy a simoon terally toolc all the ballast road-bed away. The train careened over to one side, and the engineer and brflkemen only pre vented the locomotive from keel ing over outright by shoveling in dirt and improvised ballast on on 9 side or the other of the track, as the occasion demanded. There was a detention of sixteen hours there, which the hungry passen gers and train hand9 improved by breaking into the stores of canned pork cna beans consigned to Ari zona merchants. The incident was one to be long remembered. DeForrest Porter Judjre adjourned Sim Die Tuesday evening after a ses sion of five days. During that time an immense amount of business was transacted and all of an important nature. At no time we will venture to say has the Court Docket aince the forma tion of. the 2nd. Judicial District, been as clear as it etands to-day. Old cases'that have dragged there slow length along from term to term havo been disposed of, and 8trickenfrom the Docket. Only two or three unimportant cases remain over until (he next term.
