LUCKY ESCAPE AT DUDAUMAN Horace William Emmerton, employee on Mr. Roy Emery's property at Du dauman, not only had a fortunate es cape from severe burns this morniiig, but he showed courage and resource iti saving a machinery shed, a track, and a tractor from being burnt. In' the early hours of the morniiig, Emerton wits transferring petrol' from a 44-gallon drum in a shed to a trac tor also in the shed. A fire started! and the tractor, a truck, and bagging in the shed' all caught alight. Emmerton, dn his own, rolled out the petrol drum, put out the fire in the bags, and removed the tractor and the truck, also extinguishing the flames on the truck and tractor. Mi. Emery arrived in time to assist in rolling the drum of pstrol away, it was allowed to burn out. Emmerton suffered bums to the hands.
