MILK SUPPLY. At a recent meeting at Murray Bridge of dairymen, a resolution was unanimously carried t hat suppliers should receive on a basis of 1/2 a gal lon for 90 per cent, of the milk and butterfat rates for the remaining. A largely attended meeting of dairymen was held at Woodside on Saturday night last. The president, Mr. F. p. Martin, presided, and in his open ing remarks took great exception to the statement of Mr. Morphett, namely "That it was outside the bounds of common business honesty for the dairymen to put forth such an ultima tum." Mr. Martin went on to say, the true position being the firms re fused to make an offer at the February conference, and assumed a dogmatic attitude, and said they were going to pay their own price, and the suppliers never accepted or refused them. It was owing to the firm's attitude that the conference was really abortive, and a future conference useless. Mr. C.
