STRAY NOTES (By Scrutator.) On Saturday evening the usual weekly assembly of ' good fellows' (as we can only I describe them) took place in tho library of the Moss Vale School of Arts, and ft short space of timo was passed in cheerful and rational conversation. This meeting has nothing in common with the nature of a club. Of the latter institution someone lias said : — ' Its union of one class is a separation from all others ; the junction of its members is a dis memberment from the general body of citi zens ; it is dissocial in its very associations. It is a cabal, a caste, a clique, a coterie, a junto, a conspiracy, a knot, a pack, a gang, anything in short that is close, selfish, dis junctive, and inhospitable.' Now just the contrary is this little party at the School of Arts.
