(To the sEditor oJ the .Standard.) Smc,--Theso very cold mornings it is really too bad to see thoe childron standing outside the door of a certain state school in this district, waiting for the arrival of the teacher, and as it hsn occurred so often I feel it my duty to mention the fact. The children arrive at the school-houno at ton a.m., but it is too often eleven before the doors are opened. The teacher lives some mile away; and evidently does not hurry himeolf. If a change does not immediately take place iny children haIll stop at home, the truant.olfficr and his peniltice notwithstanding, as I will not allow them to stand out shivering in the frost day 4ar day as they have been in the habit of fling lately,-I am, sir, yours &o, A PAna?x.
