ORCHARD AND GARDEN SAVING SEEDS The most reliable seeds are grown at home , harvested and taken care of under the best possible conditions . Seed inspection is doing a good deal to foster better commercial seeds , but individual farmers must pay more attention to the kind of seed they plant or the yield of crop will not increase in a satisfactory manner . There are other things that may be bought cheap and still turn out all right , but seeds belong to a different class . Poor seeds are sold cheaper than good seeds , and it is a temptation sometimes to save a little in the purchase , but men who know the value of good seeds are willing to pay the price . Most farm seeds may be saved at home , which gives the added advantage of having them acclimated . When you buy seeds you are not sure whether they have been grown in the same kind of climate or not .
